Summer Red Wine Dinner

Today at Wohlner’s we want to share information about our ‘Summer Red’ Wine Dinner tomorrow, July 25th. For those that have never attended, every other Thursday Wohlner’s hosts a wine dinner where we pair wine and food into five-courses with a dessert for only $40 per person. We begin every dinner at 6:30 p.m. in our deli.
Today we wanted to share the menu for tomorrow’s ‘Summer Red’ Wine Dinner because it sounds absolutely divine.
First - Prosciutto wrapped cantaloupe, feta stuffed olives, watermelon goat cheese and basil bites paired with Tess, red and white blend from Napa Valley.
Second - Avocado soup, mint, sour cream, shrimp seasoned fried tortilla strips paired with Louis Jadot, Beaujolais-Villages from France.
Third - ‘Pig out salad’, which is a spring mix with pancetta, blue cheese, summer vinaigrette, freeze dried herbs and dried fruit and it’s paired with Clifford Bay’s Pinot Noir from New Zealand.
Fourth - Spaghetti and meatballs with a creamy pesto marinara, beef and pork meatball, which we’re pairing with Campus Oaks, Old Vine Zinfandel from Lodi, California.
Fifth - House-made Oreo bar with fresh red raspberries and cocoa vanilla infused whipped cream paired with Luccio, Bello Rosso from Italy.
